Pre-K Friends

What are our friends in Pre-K up to?

They are working on writing their numbers with the wet/dry slates! They learn how to write from top to bottom with a smiley face to indicate where to start. Ms. Shanice teaches how to write with short lines and long lines. To reinforce how to write the number, they can use the sponge to go back over the number and it won't erase!

They are also understanding that learning is fun, with a little bit of magic:)

It's fall in Tennessee and our Pre-K friends (but most of all their teacher;) are excited!!

Firetrucks at HTB!

October is Health and Safety month for Holly Tree Christian! We had the Brentwood Fire Trucks come for a visit! They gave out cool hats, talked about how to call for an emergency...9-1-1 and gave away stickers!

Child Health Week 2016

Along with the Gold Sneaker Initiative, helping provide better food options and wellness options to childcare, Tennessee is also promoting Child Health Week 2016!   

We want you to celebrate this week at home with your family too!
Can you think of some ways to help promote healthy children in your household?

• Schedule wellness check-ups for you & your children.
• Make appointments with you & your children's dentist for 6 month screenings.
• Add more fruits & vegetables to your daily meals.
• Drink more water and fewer sugary drinks.
• Encourage family meal time
• Promote family walks or exercise!
