A Family Feast to Remember

    On Thursday, November 21st, the tables were set, the classrooms were decorated, and all Holly Tree families and friends were invited to bring a side or dessert and come eat lunch with us. What a fantastic turn out we had! We are so thankful that many of our families and fiends were able to join us! We feasted on everything from turkey, to green bean casserole, yummy mac n' cheese, and even pumpkin cheesecake. I am confident that we all left Holly Tree with full bellies that day! BIG Machines Visit Holly Tree!!!

    Brentwood Rentals stopped by Holly Tree today to show us their BIG machines! They brought over a bobcat and a scissor lift to show the children. Each child had the opportunity to get into (and go up in!!) the scissor lift. This had the children super excited and cheering for their friends when it was their turn! The children also were encouraged to get in and explore the bobcat. What a fantastic way to bring BIG machines to life and a wonderful memorable moment that I am sure they will be talking about for days to come! Look at these cuties in action.....

Terrific Tuesday!

         Through Ms. Sandra's inspiring "JAM" lessons, we are learning all about what it means to be thankful! Our Bible verse for this week, "In everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus," tells us, to be appreciative of everything- big or small. Through song, interactive activities, and a little help from our furry puppet friend Peanut, the children discovered that we all have something special to be thankful for!

               Here at Holly Tree, we are all specifically thankful that we have such great families that are so eager to participate and show our little ones how important it is to give back! We raised 105 boxes of pasta and rice school- wide last week. Our winner for last week's competition is Ms. Chelsea's Preschool 2 classroom who raised 32 boxes of pasta and rice. Giving Back to Our Community

    In efforts to give back and make a difference in our community, Holly Tree has teamed up with Second Harvest Food Bank to raise canned goods for the less fortunate. Each week we are collecting various items to donate. Last week, we raised an impressive 146 cans school- wide! Each classroom is participating in a competition to see which room can raise the most cans.

     Our winner last week was Mrs. Melissa with a total of 55 cans! She earned $15 to spend in her classroom. Congratulations Mrs. Melissa! There is still time to help your child’s classroom become a winner. We are collecting pasta & rice this week!

Halloween Happenings

    We didn't let the storm get in the way of our Halloween fun! On Thursday, October 31st, the children came to school dressed in full ( and absolutely adorable!) costume! From super heroes and princesses to dinosaurs, we had a variety of attire here at Holly Tree! The children were given the opportunity to parade around the school and show their friends their costumes. In the afternoon, with a little help from our wonderful parents, the children were able to indulge in delicious snacks and yummy Halloween treats! Here are some photos of our celebration:
